Goals
Goal 1 - Be a leader in arts technology. Establish a technology infrastructure that supports our growth and the needs of our 165 Arts/Boston member groups throughout New England.
Goal 2 - Develop an effective web presence. New technology will allow us to establish the infrastructure and process to improve the organization's on-line presence and increase the integrity of the information available on all programs and member groups.
Goal 3 - Increase and improve connectivity. Every desktop will have high-speed Internet access. The LAN will be upgraded to make internal information sharing more efficient. The fax and copy machine will be connected to the network allowing easy access from every computer. Both BosTix booths will be linked to network by remote access.
Goal 4 - Institutionalize technological assessment. The staff technology committee will continually assess the needs of the organization and along with the Board technology committee will make recommendations on technological upgrades.
Technology will be a vital part of our strategic planning process. Our goal is to have a full-time staff member who is responsible for the network and website maintenance. Meanwhile, there is a standing staff technology committee assisted by two board members to help guide this upgrade and make sure that resources are made available for the future. We foresee inviting non-board members to be part of this committee to ensure that we have a diverse range of technological experts who know Arts/Boston and are committed to its long-term health.
