Administration/Operations

General Office - By drastically reducing "crashing" and "freezing," the Arts/Boston technology upgrade will increase efficiency as well as morale. Also, it will place Internet and email access, calendar and planning software, and database and word processing software at every workstation. Fundraising - The database of contributor information will be fully merged with travel and ticket information in ACCESS. Internet access will facilitate research -the key to arts funding. The internet/email will create a new level of communication with our customers that will improve customer service and therefore increase donations from Arts/Boston patrons.

Finance -The software is already upgraded to Quickbooks, but we need a computer that will support the software. Communicating electronically with income-generating programs (Arts/Mail and BosTix) eliminates double entry. We will also be able to solicit donations online.

Marketing/Sales - Better web access for BosTix, Arts/Mail and Arts/Travel. We will have better control over the website (www.artsboston.org), thereby increasing the BosTix productivity and accessibility to our demographic outside the downtown Boston area. The current website configuration makes it difficult to update our information in a timely manner.
