Eight Critical Browsing Questions

1. Can you at a glance understand what the Web site's main purpose is? Do you know what to do when you first arrive?

2. Does something about the site capture your attention and encourage you to explore? Would you want to bookmark this site and return? Why? Does the site bore or irritate you? Why?

3. Are you puzzled or surprised when you click on a link? Is this intentional or lack of clarity about where the links will take you?

4. Can you easily find your way back to the top page or to other sections without getting lost?

5. Is the text easy to read? Are the graphics clear? Is the page too busy?

6. Do you experience information overload or are you overwhelmed by the number of links on the page?

7. Does this site "Break the rules", yet still keeps your interest?

8. Is the style of the graphics, text, and navigation cohesive or do they fight with one another? Is the style of the site consistent?
